What Is the Clare County Road Commission Project?

The Clare County Road Commission project is a new facility consisting of four pre-engineered metal buildings designed to provide a modern, durable, and energy-efficient space for long-term community use. The development includes a service garage, parking garage, and supporting infrastructure built to support daily operations and future needs.

What Progress Has Been Made?

The project continues to advance through final systems commissioning and interior completion. In the truck storage building, exhaust fan power and water heater installation are complete, the in-floor heating system has been charged with glycol, and testing and balancing for the testing lab has been completed.

Major building systems in the service garage are also coming online. Electrical devices and receptacles are nearing completion, the fire pump is wired and ready for testing, and its control panel has been installed. Mechanical milestones include charging the in-floor heating system, furnace startup, boiler control wiring, and condensing unit startup. Appliances are installed, and wash bay finishes continue to come together.

Outside, the septic drain field, pumps, and control panel have been installed, and the system has successfully passed inspection.

What’s Next?

The next phase will focus on final commissioning and closeout. Crews will complete lighting and electrical devices, begin interlock controls, start up the boilers, and continue equipment installation in the service garage. Testing lab ceiling repairs will also begin. Exterior work will focus on finalizing gate power and controls as the facility moves closer to completion.
