FED All Staff Meeting 2024 Q2

Our team came together for our second all-staff meeting in 2024 to share our wins and progress towards our goals for the year. As we prepared for the meeting this quarter, the theme was momentum. This is the perfect topic to reflect on our continuous growth and development as a team and individually.

It was a great opportunity for us all to share how we plan to continue building momentum by implementing new systems and procedures as we scale FED toward our vision of becoming a 100-million-dollar company by the year 2027.

We kicked off the meeting with a company address from our President, Brock Dennings. He congratulated us on all the accomplishments already achieved in 2024 and provided insight into what was driving him to be the best leader for FED in a way that really spoke to all of us as a group:

“My job as a servant leader is to help you all grow beyond what I have ever dreamed capable of by myself. My goal is to be surrounded by people who are more talented and specialized than I am, and I believe that is exactly what we are accomplishing. The best part of my job is seeing all of your wins, watching you all grow individually, and creating a greater impact in the teams you’re within. I couldn’t be more proud of the team in front of me.”

It wouldn’t be a FED all-staff meeting without a team-building event! Following Brock’s address, we were broken into separate teams to complete a version of the telephone game. Each team was answering questions about the company and leaning on their group to get accurate answers to gather their puzzle pieces. Once the team got all 10 puzzle pieces, we assembled the puzzles, which turned out to be photos from various company events. We all enjoyed the memories of previous team building and company events, and the winning team won bragging rights, which go a long way in our growth-oriented culture.

Each department head followed the team building with an update. Accounting gave the team visibility on our financial progress towards 2024, Estimating reported on the jobs coming through the pipeline, marketing shared their objectives and wins going into Q3, Safety gave out awards and introduced a new initiative rewarding all the hard work being put into our standards, and the project managers gave an overview of all the projects on their plate. Everyone is encouraged to ask questions throughout the presentation, as the goal is to walk out of the room in perfect alignment with what’s ahead.

This quarter, we were proud to gift our field crew with over $10,000 in core value bonuses. This incentive is helpful in ensuring our team is aligned with the FED core values.

Fueled by the momentum of our current initiatives and seeing all the work on the front end paying dividends, we’re looking forward to what is coming up in Q3.
