Clerical Support Associate

FED is searching for a friendly, organized and experienced Clerical Support Associate to keep up with our fast-paced and growing office. Construction experience is preferred to appropriately answer phones and interact with our customers.Compensation:  up to $17.00/hour, based on experience

Essential Functions:

The primary functions of the Clerical Support Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • General administrative duties.
  • Confidently answering phones while identifying the appropriate point of contact for transfer.
  • Purchasing and maintaining office supply stock.
  • Managing several interoffice calendars for the purpose of scheduling.
  • Assisting staff with a myriad of tasks related to multiple jobs.
  • Providing technical assistance and maintenance on office wide copiers and printers.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness of the office and conference room.
  • Primary contact for all project deliveries and office materials.
  • Supportive duties as deemed appropriate by management.

Competencies:

  • Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experienced and skilled in computer use.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Offers self-initiative, organized and possesses the ability to multitask.

Requirements and Qualifications

The Clerical Support Associate at FED should have at least three years of experience according to the essential functions and competencies provided. This person should be confident in their ability to provide excellent customer service, willing and able to ask questions and carry an extreme attention to task oriented details. Must be available to work Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary

A Construction Project Manager is involved in all of the job tasks from start to finish once they are assigned a job. Functions that a PM is responsible for would include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage multiple different subcontractors
  • Manage multiple projects at one time
  • Work with commercial building customers
  • Communicate with our President, Vice President, and Site Supervisors about each of your jobs

Construction Project Manager Requirements and Qualifications

A person in this position should have outstanding management skills and have exceptional communication. An ideal PM at FED should be experienced in Microsoft Office and have some knowledge of Procore. The PM must have morals that match the core values of FED, quality, integrity, and customer service. We expect a person in this position to be adaptable and capable of paying attention to detail while working in an ever-changing and fast-paced work environment.

  • A minimum of 5 years of construction experience is required – more experience is preferred
  • MUST be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Procore is a plus

Site Supervisor – FED Design/Builders

Job Summary

An ideal candidate for a Site Supervisor should have pre-engineered metal building experience, great at meeting deadlines, staying on budget and remaining organized throughout the entire project. Has a thorough understanding of “order of operations” for construction. Construction experience is a requirement. The responsibilities of the Site Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining job schedules and work scopes to avoid cost increases to meet budget goals.
  • Meet project and schedule goals while exceeding our company’s quality and workmanship goals.
  • Provide our customers with extraordinary service while conforming to the contract.
  • Provide pro-active job site management and positive team leadership and motivation.
  • Run weekly onsite meetings with subcontractors and customers as required by the contract.
  • Perform change order management and complete detailed daily job logs.
  • Work directly with the Project Manager to develop schedules and draft weekly updates.
  • Responsible for scheduling subcontractors and site inspections.
  • Uphold FED’s strong safety model.
  • Follow project rules, policies and procedures that have been established by FED through the customer’s contract.
  • Uphold a professional representation of FED Corporation to subcontractors and clients.

Site Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications

The Site Supervisor at FED should have a minimum of five years of construction, 10 years preferred. This person should be confident in their ability lead and take charge of a project. Be adaptable to multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment. Travel will be required from this position. Knowledge of Procore would be beneficial.

Job Summary

The Steel Erectors at FED create our labor crew. This position requires physical labor, and all work is performed on a job site. Some travel is required. The tasks that a Steel Erector is responsible for include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Erecting steel
  • Install insulation
  • Install sheeting, roofing, and walls
  • Erect mezzanines as required
  • Structural steel fabrication and erecting
