Your Project Timeline
01
Vision Package
Project Formation
You will meet with the FED team to share your vision and goals. Based on this discussion, we will create a basic floor plan and elevations to support your needs, square footage, and building type. Collaboratively, we will establish your master plan and construction phases.
Conceptual drawings
We will create photorealistic 3D renderings using industry knowledge to deliver a visualization that fits your project scope. Customers often enjoy this step as we transform the vision discussed in our first meeting into a tangible building project.
Budget & Financing
Your basic floor plans will be utilized to establish a project budget so you can secure financing. We have trusted resources for this as well, so you never have to take on any step alone.

02
Pre-Construction
The Working Drawings
Our team reviews the photorealistic 3D renderings and ensures they encompass all the details discussed to this point, so your building will be exactly as you imagine it.
The Permit Process
We will submit the final drawings to local and state authorities to receive site plan approval and building permits.
Material Procurement
We order long-lead-time materials, such as the metal building, structural systems, and mechanical and electrical service equipment. Ordering these in advance makes sure your project stays on track.
Groundbreaking
Once local and state authorities approve, we break ground on your project, marking the beginning of construction. Our in-house marketing team executes a groundbreaking event to celebrate the start of your project.

03
Construction Begins
Project Construction
We start with installing underground utilities, site, and foundation work. Your assigned FED project manager will send updates every Friday throughout the construction process to keep you informed of your building progress.
Taking Shape
As the building structure takes shape, we move forward with the roof, walls, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation completed by our trusted subcontractors.
Structural System
Previously ordered long lead time materials such as the structural system arrive, and FED’s steel crew will begin erecting the building.
Finishing Touches
Your building is now enclosed, and the finish work on all the details, including drywall, paint, accessories, flooring, and trim, are finalized.

04
Project Closeout
Construction Completion
FED receives the certificate of occupancy, and you can now use your new building. Our in-house marketing team will conduct a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the completion of your project.
Continued Support
As an FED customer, our team is available for any post-construction maintenance questions and support.
