Project Highlights: Wrapping up at Stoops

This month, we’re featuring Stoops: a service and office facility built to support the sales and service of semi-trucks.

The site was raised approximately 14 feet to accommodate the new steel structure, which features masonry and metal stud walls for long-term durability. Inside, the building features 10 service bays and a warehouse, all equipped with radiant in-floor heating for year-round efficiency.

The facility is designed with advanced functionality, including a Graco oil system that distributes fluids directly to technician stations, and a dedicated steam bay for truck washing. Customer and employee spaces were also a priority, with a lounge, showers, and full locker room amenities.

Inside FED: All Staff “Meeting”

Doing things as a team and fostering growth in our team dynamic are things we take great pride in. It’s noticed by our customers, and it’s appreciated by our staff. That’s why our biannual staff “meeting” is interactive, fun, and a great opportunity for growth and on-the-spot collaboration to address any questions that come up as a collective.

We use the term “meeting” loosely on these because they’re collaborative touchpoints where the entire company gets together, ensures we’re all aligned and understand our goals. Plus we have a little fun with some team building, too. If you couldn’t guess, the FED team is very competitive.

It’s an honor to have a team like ours, and it does not happen by mistake. As the President, Brock Dennings often says, “Each member of this team contributes to the success of FED.”

Steel Spotlight: Building Delivery

A huge milestone was hit for the Huron County Hockey Association. Their building was delivered through 6 separate deliveries, each staged 1 hour apart to ensure effective, proactive unloading of the material for our self-perform steel crew to execute.
This is a small example of the way your project can be set up for success before construction officially begins.
