February 2026 Edition
This month’s Beamline is packed with progress. We’re spotlighting a recently completed project, introducing a service to help fund future builds, and sharing the steel tonnage our team erected in 2025. Let’s jump in!
Project Highlights: Planet Rock is Complete
What began as a single project has grown into a partnership that spans more than a decade. We recently celebrated the ribbon-cutting of Planet Rock’s Grand Rapids location, their largest gym yet. Nearly double the size of their Madison Heights facility, this expansion represents the continued trust we have built together over the years.
Our relationship started back in 2014 with a 22,000-square-foot addition in Madison Heights, featuring 50-foot climbing walls, a pro shop, and classrooms. That project laid the foundation for an ongoing partnership focused on quality, integrity, and shared vision.
For Grand Rapids, FED helped transform an existing 45,000-square-foot building and added 15,800 square feet of new space to create a destination built for movement, challenge, and community.
That same trust has led to even more meaningful work, including helping bring a climbing gym to the Gladwin Arena through the continued relationship between Brock Dennings and Planet Rock’s Nick Cocciolone which created even more opportunities for people to connect in a healthy, fun, and inspiring way.
We’re proud to support Planet Rock as they grow, invest in the communities they serve, and bring people together, one climb at a time. Interested in checking out this new facility? Follow them on social media
